Quit Your Ditchin’!

Blog post image
Hey! We are still going to move forward with the mini-series called “7 SCIENCE BASED SECRETS that simplify fat loss” (as mentioned in our last blog) but this day came up and we had to make a point about it … How fast does January seem to fly by? We are just a few weeks past the New Year’s Eve Ball dropping. How is 2018 going for you? Let me ask you this: <h4 class="center">Did YOU make a New Year Resolution?</h4> <h4 class="center">If so, let me ask you another question: Have you kept it?</h4> We did a little checking into New Year “resolutions”. We came across a study done just 2 years ago at the University of Scranton. The findings were published in the Journal of Clinical Psychology, and they really grabbed our attention. First, check out Top 5 Resolutions we make: <table class="table"> <thead> <tr> <th>Rank</th> <th>Top New Year's Resolution</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr class="active"> <td>1</td> <td>Lose Weight</td> </tr> <tr> <td>2</td> <td>Getting Organized</td> </tr> <tr class="success"> <td>3</td> <td>Spend Less, Save More</td> </tr> <tr> <td>4</td> <td>Enjoy Life to the Fullest</td> </tr> <tr class="info"> <td>5</td> <td>Staying Fit and Healthy</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> The research findings show that of the resolutions made, ***38% are weight related resolutions***. That means that of all the folks who make a resolution (and we all know there are hundreds of thousands who do) almost 4 of 10 want to LOSE WEIGHT! Here’s the sad truth though: the study showed that ***only 8% of people are successful*** in achieving their resolution. Ouch! That is a horribly low and very frustrating success rate! Did you know there is a day called the **“National Ditch Your Resolutions Day”?** Sure, it’s a “fake holiday” but it’s on the event calendar, supposedly based on the premise that **JANUARY 17 is the most common day** for people to give up on their resolutions. <div class="center"><strong>How sad is this? 17 days in is less than 5% of the way through the year!</strong></div> The <strong>REASONS people ditch</strong> their resolutions are clear: - They don’t know exactly what to do – they lack a plan that will actually work. It’s more than just low calorie or low carb. It’s about metabolism … and genetics. Seriously! - They lack accountability. We all do better when we have someone making a difficult journey with us. Call it whatever you want: a coach, a partner or a cheerleader. That component is a huge part of the Lifetime Metabolic Program’s success. - Lack of results from the start. Good News: The Lifetime Metabolic Program is specifically designed to off-set that reason for ditching your resolution. In fact, in this program it is quite common for clients to lose 20 or more pounds in the first 6 week phase! Of course, results vary but such a POSSIBILITY oughta grab your attention! <h4 class="center">If you have found yourself ditchin, it’s probably time to give us a call. For many, many people we really are The New Year Resolution SOLUTION!</h4>
